Twin Cities Rider First Issue David Harrington
Welcome
June 2011 - Equipment Reviews

Thanks for taking a look at Twin Cities Rider. This is our eight issue of what we hope will become your favourite source for motorcycle, scooter and moped information in the Minneapolis & St. Paul area.

Yes, the June issue is late getting done. No, there are no motorcycle or scooter reviews in it. Yes, we have some more reviews in the works. No, the extra-rainy weather hasn't helped matters at all.

Fulmer Modular iShade Helmet
Karrie Vrabel Fulmer MB iShade modular helmetI'm not going to badger you, at least not as much as I did in the recent Helmets article. You should wear a helmet and I certainly hope you do. The (relatively) new Fulmer modular iShade helmet is featured this month. Modular full-face helmets offer a good alternative for people who struggle to get standard full-face helmets on and off. Local rider Karrie Vrabel makes her first appearance as a contributor to Twin Cities Rider by offering up her thoughts on this helmet.    CLICK HERE to read the Fulmer review.

SHAD Topcases
June 20th is National Ride to Work day. This was started as a way to raise awareness of motorcycles and scooters as commuter vehicles. People who regularly commute on two wheels are sometimes referred to as utility riders (as opposed to weekend riders, or off-road riders, etc.) and one of the key accessories to increase the utility of your machine is hauling capacity. This month we take a look at SHAD topcases.

A Small Spot-Clock
Our previous Clocks 4 Bikes review resulted in a fair amount of email comments and comparison to simple adhesive clocks from Formotion. This month we take a quick look at the adhesive spot-clock from Clocks 4 Bikes.

Several features of this website are not necessarily associated with any single issue of Twin Cities Rider, but are here as resources for you. Our calendar page features a list of events in the Twin Cities area. The links page includes lists of area dealers and shops as well as groups & clubs. If you just can't get enough blather about motorcycles and scooters, check out the Two-Wheels-And-A-Motor podcasts or the Just-Gotta-Scoot podcasts. We have added a "Sales Corner" for local readers looking to sell (or buy), let me know if you have something you want to post there.  Of course it goes without saying that we desperately hope you will visit our sponsors and give them a chance to earn your business.

Twin Cities Rider will be published (more or less) monthly during the riding season and as appropriate during the winter. You can SUBSCRIBE HERE to receive email notification of new issues. Please CONTACT US if you have any questions or comments.
